A wind blade is a structural beam that throughout its operating life is subjected to considerable lift forces on its aerodynamic profile. Stiffening of the blade is therefore essential to resist bending. Hexcel's portfolio of products for load-carrying structures (e.g. spar caps, I-beams, shear web) provides the best possible translation of the fiber’s mechanical properties in the finished structure.
